The long term project “Remembering political violence on Goli otok” is based on the need to provide information about the former internment camp (1949-1956) and later prison (1956-1988) on the infamous Adria island. Furthermore, the project keeps remembrance of the victims of political violence on Goli otok.

Goli Otok is a place marked by the Yugoslavian Communist regime's repression against the thousands of individuals held captive on the island.
